Last week, we had received a calling from our partner General Chen. He told us that one of his clients had suffered heavy losses because of using the black pigment paste with exceeding benzo-pyrene content. So he asked us whether Shanghai Caison has safer black pigment paste that benzo-pyrene content can be controlled less than 20PPM.

When you search “benzo pyrene” through , we can learn that benzo pyrene is highly carcinogenic, belonging to PAHs compounds.

We had sent 300grams safer black pigment paste as sample for General Chen, the price tax included was RMB23.0/Kg, MOQ is 400kgs. This CAISON super concentrated water based pigment paste BBH-5003 Black pigment paste, its benzo pyrene content is strictly controlled less than 20ppm.

General Chen who is a doctor had been studied in Germany, and had worded in the world's largest chemicals company before, then had done his own business. He engaged in long-term studies of the aqueous resin, why he didn't find the black pigment paste without benzo pyrene before?

During the talking with General Chen, we all talked about the important raw materials of black pigment paste---- Carbon black. We all agreed that the main reason that benzopyrene content exceeded in most of black pigment paste is coal tar or anthracene oil used for the production of carbon black. Or both of two kinds of oil mixed. In the furnace calcination process and carbon black production process, benzopyrene class of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons substance exists in the coal tar or anthracene oil, resulting in benzopyrene excessive in carbon black on the market.

Currently, the production of water based pigment paste on the market, is using ordinary carbon black, benzopyrene class of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons is basically unable to control less than 20PPM! And national standards GB18401-2010 also has no similar requirement of benzopyrene class of PAHs.

Our security awareness continues to increase, detection of benzopyrene class of PAHs from products exported by some special industries is progressively strict. CAISON Technical Dept. is working on it. CAISON water based pigment paste BBH-5003 Black pigment paste meets Oeko-Tex100 limited substances standards and safe pigment paste requirement of Chinese National Standard GB18401-2010 (Class II directly contact with the skin). At the same time, it conforms to safe standard of benzopyrene polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in less than 20PPM.
